Lauren Monaco Eddings
Victim Services Specialist
She/Her
Originally from the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, I come to BCJC with eight years of experience in the community justice field. Before moving to Burlington, I worked with the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, supporting children and young adults through mental health crises. Prior to that, I was a citizenship advocate at the International Rescue Committee in Southern California, until the Northeast called me home again. I was a Reproductive Rights and Activist Service Cohort scholar in 2016, and an organizer for Civil Liberties & Public Policy from 2014-2018, while studying Public Health, and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at UMass, Amherst. In addition to being a VSS for the city, I will continue to serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), for children in foster care. Apart from advocacy work, I have spent a great deal of time in back and front of house restaurant environments. Anyone’s welcome at my table- we eat at seven.
